Making Programming Easier...

When your programming signal logic, blocks & configuring turnouts in PanelPro, it can become a real pain going between the layout & dispatch office to check, especially running one up.

TeamViewer is a program that allows your monitors to be mirrored & control the computer via the internet.

I now have the ability to use the laptop in the layout, and do programming on the spot.

This would have been very handy three years ago, and would have saved quite a few hours just moving backwards & forwards between the dispatchers desk & layout.

The ACY arrives on the Reading...

Recently I received another shipment from my great friend Alan, who ships all my USA - eBay purchases to me here in Australia.

Amongst the box of goodies, was a shared interest that Alan and I both have.  An Athearn ACY 50' Box car.

Alan models the Akron Canton & Youngstown Railroad, we both have this boxcar on our layouts now.  It fits perfectly into my era, and even came with ACI plate already installed.

Alan even provided a prototype picture of the very car in 1979.  Going to be hard to replicate that much grime when its time to weather it...
