RDG GP39-2 #3416 Working Dana Corporation...

The JLandT Banner...

Just thought I'd add the concept behind the banner on the blog. I wanted a banner for this blog and for the forums as a signature that I'm involved with.

More importantly I wanted something that really represents what I am trying to achieve with our layout. The layout is a proto-freelanced theme based around the Reading Lines & Conrail merger era, with a little twist that the Reading lived on a little longer than it did in real life.

So this is how I came up with the blending & fading from the signature Reading "green" to the equal Conrail "blue", to represent the merge from the Reading Lines to Conrail.

Of course the iconic heralds of both railroads also take pride and place next to each picture, and thus the JL&T banner was born...
